1919 - 2018
Elizabeth (Betty) Skinner, of Kelowna, BC, went to be with the Lord on January 17, 2018 from the Village at Mill Creek. Betty was born in St. John's, Newfoundland and lived there until moving to Kelowna in 1996. She was predeceased by her husband, Arthur and her brother, Fred Whitten. Betty leaves to grieve her loss: son, Wayne (Marcia) of Kelowna; two grandchildren: Rebecca (Troy) Steeves of Moncton, NB and Ralna Knudsen of Visalia, CA; four great-grandchildren: Trent and Paige Knudsen, Ava Joy and Morgan Steeves. She also leaves two sisters: Dorothy (Barry) Simmonds of Kelowna and Marjorie Dunn of Houston, TX; as well as a large number of nieces, nephews and wonderful friends. We wish to share our appreciation to the caring staff at both Sutherland Hills Rest Home and the Village at Mill Creek. Special thanks to Dr. Paul Hart for his sensitive support over the past years. A celebration of life will be held on Friday, January 26th at 1:00 pm at the Springfield Funeral Home, 2020 Springfield Road, Kelowna, BC. No flowers by request.
