It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Gerald (Jerry) Keels who passed away peacefully at the Dr. Walter Templeman Health Care Center on January 31, 2018 surrounded by family. Predeceased by parents Michael and Catherine Keels both from Conception Harbour and brothers Lawrence, James and John. Leaving to mourn his wife Jean Keels; five children: Kathy Neary (Tyrone), Jerry Keels (Tammy), Loraine Miller (Dave), Ronnie Keels (Jody) and Sonya Dunne (Wayne); sister Mary Carroll and brothers: Patrick and Michael Keels; 13 grandchildren and 6 great-grandchildren and a large circle of family and friends. Viewing will take place Sunday, February 4, 2018 from 12 noon to 9 p.m. at Pendergast's Funeral Home, Bell Island. Funeral Mass to take place at St. Michael's Church, Bell Island at 2 p.m. February 5, 2018. Cremation to follow. Inurnment to take place at a later date. Reception to follow at St. Michael's Hall.
