BRUCE, Roger July 16, 1933 – May 7, 2011. On May 7th, 2011 Roger Bruce of Edmonton passed away at the age of 77 years. Born on July 16 in Lily Plain, SK to Billy and Hetty Bruce, Roger was the fourth of nine children. After receiving education in a one room school, Roger worked as a dairyman, house builder, and postman in Saskatchewan, before moving to Edmonton in 1963. For the next 33 years, he was a proud employee of Inland Cement. The last 17 years he was retired and enjoying his hobbies and his family. Roger was predeceased by his wife Rose; sister Sylvia; brothers in-law, Henry and Frank; sisters in-law, Doris, Marg and Adeline.
Roger is survived by daughter Karen (Arthur); brothers, Johnny, Grant (Hilda), Charles, Gordon, Robin, Norman (Eleanor); sister Peggy and numerous friends. A celebration of his life will be held on Saturday May 14, 2011 at 10:00 A.M at Howard & McBride Westlawn Funeral Chapel at 16310 Stony Plain Road, Edmonton.
