The family of Shelly Lynn Guest age 59 of Oxford are saddened to announce her passing on Friday, February 2, 2018, with her brother by her side at the Cumberland Regional Health Care Centre, Upper Nappan.
Born in Winnipeg, she was a daughter of Helen (Gillis) Spencer and the late Robert Spencer.
Shelly worked for many years as a CCA at Sunset Residential Centre in Pugwash.
Shelly will be missed by her daughter Mindy; son James; grandchildren Quinn, William and Abby; sisters Anne DeMont, Becky Surrette, Sherry (Roger) Prall and Pandora Taylor (Gary Jones); brothers Malcolm (Donna), Robert and Jeff (Tracy) and many nieces and nephews.
Besides her father, she was predeceased by her husband Donald; brother Timothy and Michael; sister in-law Lynn Spencer and brother in-law Gary DeMont.
A Celebration of Shelly’s Life will be held on Tuesday, February 6, 2018 from 2 – 6 p.m. held at Campbell’s Funeral Home, 98 Church St. Amherst, 902-667-9906.
Interment will take place in the spring in the Pine Grove Cemetery, Oxford.
Donations may be made in Shelly’s memory to the L.A. Animal Shelter or to the Cumberland Cancer Assistance Fund.
