Herbert Alan Barkhouse, of Granton, passed away peacefully on February 5, 2018.
Herb was born in New Glasgow, NS on November 29th, 1956. He was the third son to Kenneth and Barbara Barkhouse.
He is survived by his beloved children, Beth Ann Barkhouse and James Alan Barkhouse. He is also survived by his loving mother, Barbara Barkhouse, brothers, Frederick Barkhouse (Imelda) and Kenneth Barkhouse (Karen) and sisters, Beth Barkhouse (Mark Jordan) and Barbara Kalinowski (George) and many nieces and nephews.
He is predeceased by his father, Arthur Kenneth Barkhouse.
His love of life, fun and generous spirit was contagious. He was a wonderful son, brother, father, uncle and friend and he will be missed by all who were blessed to have known him.
The family wishes to extend special thanks to Dr. Rivera and staff as well as the Pharmacist and staff at Lawton’s Drug Store in Westville for the wonderful care they provided.
Herb's funeral service will be held on Friday, February 9, at 2 pm from Eagles Funeral Chapel, Westville with Major Wayne Pike officiating. There will be no visitation by request.
