It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Terry Mitchell, age 65, on Feb. 21, 2018 at the Glace Bay Hospital, surrounded by his loving family.
Born in Glace Bay, he was the son of the late Frederick and Florence Mitchell.
Terry was employed as a truck driver with K & L Trucking until his retirement.
He is survived by his best friend and mother of his children, Elaine Mitchell (Steve); his children, Tanya (Rod) Hart, Jason Mitchell, Nicole (Chris) and Terri (Chris), all of Glace Bay; nine grandchildren; one great-grandson; brothers, George, Bobby (Allison); several nieces and nephews; brothers and sisters-in-law; as well as his good friends, Laurence (Emma), Frankie, Mickey and Dwayne.
Besides his parents, Terry was predeceased by his sister-in-law, Theresa Mitchell.
Cremation has taken place. A memorial service will be held 2 p.m. Monday, Feb. 26, 2018 with Deacon MacNeil officiating at T.J. Tracey and Cremation and Burial Specialists, 370 Reserve St., Glace Bay, NS 902-849-4199.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Cape Breton Cancer Society or the SPCA.
