It is with profound sadness that the family of the late Lillian Joyce Meade announce her peaceful passing at Bay St. George Long Term Care Stephenville Crossing on Saturday Feb. 24, 2018 at age 89. She will be greatly missed and held forever in the hearts of her four daughters: Brenda (Tahir) Husain - Hope BC, Elaine Meade (Vince Lapierre) - Dartmouth, NS, Janet (Jim) Devine -Bridgewater, NS, Beverley (Robert) Bursey - Port Coquitlam, BC. She was the proud Grandmother of Sarah, Yousuf, Lindsay, Marc, Jared, Lauren, and Michael and Great-Grandmother to Nika and Lily. Her loss will also be mourned by her brothers Walt, Herb, Clyde, Carl, and sisters Doreen, Shirley and Marina. She was predeceased by her loving husband of 50+ years Harold, parents Grace and Allister Scott (Little Bay East Fortune Bay); brother Fred and sister Manetta Marshall. Condolences may be extended to her family at Russell’s Funeral Home in Stephenville Wed. Feb. 28th, 2-4 pm. Special thanks to Mom’s devoted friend and PCW Fran Campbell, Dr. Lewis and the staff of the Medical unit of Sir Thomas Roddick Hospital, Administration and staff of Bay St. George LTC. Funeral service will be held 2pm Thursday March 1st at St. Augustine’s Church, Hillview Ave with internment at Hillside Interfaith Cemetery, Hansen Hwy. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in her memory to St. Augustine’s Anglican Church or a charity of your choice.
