Andy (Walter Frank) Anderson

It is with heavy hearts that we announce the sudden passing of our special brother Andy at Harbourstone Enhanced Care on Tuesday, February 27, 2018 at the age of 66. Born to James ‘Cecil’ and Ada (Moffatt) Anderson January 9, 1952 in Sydney, Nova Scotia.
He resided in Mabou at the Harbourview Home for ten or more years. While living in Mabou, he worked at the Hope Chest, Foodland and the Inverness Bakery.
At one time, Andy participated in the Special Olympics in Halifax receiving a medal for Bocco Ball.
Andy is survived by his brothers, Kent (late Shirley), Ross (Arlene) and Richard (Geneva Pond), and many nieces and nephews.
He was predeceased by brothers, Harold (Hallie) and Clarie; sisters, Bayne Marjetti and Marjorie MacLean, and brother-in-law, John MacLean.
Visitation for Andy will take place Friday from 12-2 p.m. at S.W. Chant and Son Funeral Home, 564 Alexandra St., Sydney. A celebration of his life will follow at 2 p.m. in the funeral home chapel with Rev. Sheldon Chant to officiate. Reception to follow.
