August 31, 1941 - August 19, 2009. Passed peacefully away in the presence of her family in the ICU at the Health Sciences Centre, Peggy Jean King (nee Butt). Predeceased by her parents Jim and Effie Butt and her brother Gordon (Mac) Butt. Leaving to mourn her devoted daughter Janice and son Jim and their father Jim King Sr. Also left to mourn sisters: Marie (Sam Saunders) and Patricia (Lloyd Andrews) and her aunt Hattie Saunders, Glovertown; her nieces and nephews: Jeff (friend Rosalie), Tracy (Angela), Robert (Kelly), Susan, Peter (Kim); her eight great-nieces and nephews; Melissa, Lance, Emily, Rachel, Joshua, Olivia, Isabelle and Noah; also a large circle of other family and friends and children who were very special to her. Resting at Barrett’s Funeral Home, 328 Hamilton Avenue from 2-4 p.m. and 7-9 p.m. Thursday and Friday and from 10 a.m. - 12 noon on Saturday. Funeral service to be held from Barrett’s Chapel on Saturday, August 22, 2009 at 2:00 p.m. Interment to follow at Mount Pleasant Cemetery.
