It is with great sadness that we announce the peaceful passing of our mother Elizabeth (Beth) McCue (nee Healey) at the great age of 93 years on March 15, 2018. She is predeceased by her husband Jim, who died in 1985; her firstborn, Michael, who died in childbirth; her parents Patrick and Mary Healey; her brothers Jack, Pat, Peter and Gerald; sisters-in-law Louise, Theresa and Nellie. Leaving to mourn with precious memories are her children Gerard (Marian), Pat (Jeannette), Brian (Cathy), Donna (Raymond), beloved sister Mary (Pat Bruce), brother Frank Healey and sister-in-law Evelyn Healey. Also left with great memories are her precious grandchildren: Jason, Dawn, Scott, Stephan, James and Kayla, nine great-grandchildren and one great-great-grandchild, along with a large circle of family and friends. She will be missed by the many friends she made in Wabush. She was greatly loved by the wonderful friends she made there. Beth was a strong and fearless woman. She faced and overcame many obstacles in her life with courage and grace. She always put her family and her friends before herself and quietly sacrificed to help others. Our mother was fierce, and we loved her for it! Our family would like to extend special thanks to the staff and management of Beachside Manor. We will be forever grateful for the care you provided our Mother during her years there. She couldn’t have been in a better place.
Funeral services entrusted to Coombs Funeral Home, Placentia. Visitation to take place on Saturday 6:00pm to 9:00pm and Sunday 2:00pm to 9:00pm.
