Michael Christopher "Mike" Swan

Swan, Michael, Christopher, (Mike); 47, Truro. It is with great sadness and broken hearts that we announce the peaceful passing of Mike on Wednesday March 28, 2018 surrounded by his loving family at the QEII Victoria General Hospital.
Michael is survived by his loving wife of 30 years, Tanya; his five children, Christopher (Truro); Ashlie (Dylan Truro); Chelsey (at home); Jacob (at home); Aethan (at home); two grandchildren Chloe and Owen; Mother Dorothy (Swan); Brother Tim (Becky, Hilden); Step-Mother Vicki (Truro); Step Brother Gordon (Brenda) Kennetcook; Step Brother Billy (Darlene, Kennetcook); Step Sister Diana (Stanley, Rawdon); and various nieces and nephews. Mike was a family man and his family was very important to him. He was the handyman of the house, fixing things even if they were not broken. He enjoyed playing with his children and with his grandchildren. He loved to work on computers.
Mike had been ill for many years but he was as strong person who never once complained of his situation and always had a smile on his face.
The family would like to pass on a very special thank you to all the doctors and nursing staff at 6B at the QEII Victoria General Hospital; Palliative Care Team at Colchester East Hants Health Center, V.O.N. of Truro, Hospice Society of Truro, and Family Doctor, Dr. Tanya Munroe.
