Beverley Ann MacLellan (Smith), age 75, of Sydney Mines and Truro, on April 6, 2018, following a brief illness, our wonderful mother passed away peacefully at home cuddling with people she loved.
Born on April 1, 1943 to Brenton and Eileen Smith, she was a perfect mom to Jennifer MacLellan (Stephen Ford) and Matthew MacLellan, and adoring Mama to her grandbabies Lavinia ‘Vanilla’, Asa ‘Asa Boy’, Edie ‘Elizabeth Ann’, Etta and Bobby. She will be greatly missed by her sisters, Rena Kossatz (Perry) and Sue Smith (Nicola Nixon).
She was predeceased by her husband of 43 years, Robert ‘Bob’, and sisters, Eileen and Linda.
Our mom was loved by many, and loved her family and friends unconditionally. An avid reader, always with a coffee at her side, Mom was vibrant, unique and never conventional, known to often order three lemon desserts for each course of a meal. She loved music and loved to dance, whether gracefully with Dad on the dance floor or at home listening to her favourites on the radio.
Visitation will be held Wednesday, April 18, from 6-8 p.m., with a celebration of life service to follow on Thursday, April 19 at 3 p.m., both at the Colchester Community Funeral Home in Truro, NS.
