The family of Marion Hornell, formerly of Buchans and Grand Falls-Windsor announce her passing at the Palliative Care Unit of the Leonard A. Miller Centre, St. John’s on Friday April 13 at the age of 83 years. She was predeceased by her parents – Roy & Hazel Yetman; husband James [Jimmy], brother Roy and sisters Beulah Clarke and Joyce Best. Leaving to mourn with so many fond memories of great times together are son Jim, wife Mim and their sons Jimmy, Drew [wife Tanya and great-grandchildren Emily Marion and Samantha Rose], Matthew; son Dave, wife Danielle and their sons David [wife Sarah] and Daniel; her daughter Jane and husband Dave Feener and their children Tara [husband Jeff Roche], Jaimie, Tyler; also her brother Eric Yetman [wife Margaret] and sisters Loretta Cook [husband Butch] and Betty Yetman and their families. All are buoyed and comforted to realize that Marion lived a full and happy life with few regrets. She will be a significant part of many stories and memories for years to come. She always enjoyed her family, playing cards and was an avid curler who in later years enjoyed watching all curling bonspiels on TV regardless of the hour of broadcast. Marion’s family wishes to thank the staff at the Miller Centre; Dr. Gary Rideout and Sharon Nurse, RN for their care and attention and also to a special circle of wonderful friends and neighbors whose kindness and help over the years has been so greatly appreciated. At her request, remains are to be cremated and a small family gathering to celebrate her life and reflect on fun times together has taken place.
