STRICKLAND, Kathleen “Pearl”, age 88 of Yarmouth passed away April 13, 2018 at the Yarmouth Regional Hospital, Yarmouth, N.S. Pearl was born in Yarmouth, N.S. She was the daughter of the late Thomas Allen and Maude (Randolph) Clarke. Pearl worked at the CanEx and K-Mart; she was a member of the ACW Church Group, member of TOPS, avid gardener, and she loved her grandchildren. She is survived by husband Wally; daughter, Lynda (Tony) Pothier of Lower Wedgeport, Yarmouth Co., special great granddaughter Adeline Whittaker; sons, Randy of the Valley, N.S.; 7 grandchildren and 10 great grandchildren. She was the last member of her immediate family. Pearl was predeceased by two brothers, John and Thomas, and great grandson Bryson. Visitation took place Monday April 16, 2018 from 1-2 p.m. from the Yarmouth Wesleyan Church, followed by Funeral Service at 2:00 p.m., Rev. John Symonds and Rev. Dave Hockley officiated. Family flowers only. Donations in memory may be made to the Nova Scotia Heart & Stroke Association. Funeral arrangements were entrusted to Sweeny’s Funeral Home, Yarmouth.
