GERTRUDE LUMMERDING
September 25, 1941- April16, 2018

It is with great sadness we announce the passing of Gertrude Lummerding (Sawilla), beloved mother, grandmother & great grandmother, aunt & friend. Mom was born in Khucksdorf, Poland, September 25, 1941, & immigrated to Canada at the age of 11. Gertrude passed away April 16, 2018 at St. Paul’s Hospital with family by her side. Mom is survived by her 4 children: John (Linda), Bernadette (Glenn), Paul (Julie) & Rosalie (Jason), 14 grandchildren & 6 great grandchildren & 1 brother Ralph. Mom was predeceased by her husband Art, her parents Hildegard & Franz, & 2 brothers Elias & Karl. The Prayer Vigil will be held on Sunday, April 22, 2018 at 7:30 p.m. and the Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Monday, April 23, 2018 at 10:30 a.m. Both Services will be held at the St. Louis Roman Catholic Church with Rev. Fr. Ramel Macapala celebrating. Interment will follow in the St. Louis Roman Catholic Cemetery.
