Magdalena “Pat” Tourville
TOURVILLE, MAGDALENA “PAT” - Auburn - Magdalena “Pat” Anne Tourville, 84 of Auburn; formally of Winslow, Maine, passed away on May 16, 2011. She was a loving mother, grandmother, and great grandmother. Pat was born in Cape May Co. NJ on November 25, 1927, the daughter of Arthur and Pauline (Young) Hollenback. Her working years consisted of time working in the advertising department for the Wall Street Journal. She later became the executive secretary for the Dean of Students and staff at American International College in Springfield, MA and retired from there after twenty-five years of service. Following her retirement, she and her husband, “Jim”, enjoyed many great summers with friends at Grand Manan Island in Canada. They were also avid travelers. Pat continued to enjoy seeing the sights of the world after the passing of her husband. She is survived by a daughter Laura Salley and her husband, Mearl, of Smithfield; a son, James Tourville and his wife Carol of Grandby, CT; three grandsons, Ethan Salley, Allen and Jason Tourville of Florida; and four great grandchildren. She was predeceased by her parents, her husband of forty-nine years, Louis James Tourville and one sister, Ester Mary Rucci. A Mass of Christian burial will be held 11:00am, Friday, June 3, 2011 at the Sacred Heart Catholic Church on Pleasant Street in Waterville. Arrangements under the care and direction of Dan & Scott's Cremation & Funeral Service, 445 Waterville Road, Skowhegan.
