The death occurred at Prince County Hospital, Summerside on Wednesday, May 2, 2018 of Laura Mae Ramsay, of O’Leary, aged 98, beloved wife of the late J. Keir Ramsay. Laura was born in Knutsford on July 20, 1919, daughter of the late John & Lilla (Harris) Yeo and Hannah MacDonald. Dear mother to Jean Gamble, Cascumpec; Lois MacLeod, Clyde River; Laura, at home and mother in law to Ruby Ramsay, O’Leary. Loving Nanny to Helen Gamble, Minerva (Andrew) Hardy, Heather (David) Silliker, Darlene (Keir) MacDougall, Sandy (Stewart) Wilson, Julie (Blake) McQuaid, Ellen (Jimmy) McAssey, Elizabeth and Laurie, Grandmother in law to Bruce MacLeod. Cherished Great Nanny to 17 great grandchildren and 3 great great granchildren. Dear sister to Alvin (Fairley) Yeo, Knutsford; Lillas (Peter) Reid, Norton, NB and Beryl (George) Shelfoon, Red Deer, AB. Laura was predeceased by her parents, son John, sons in law Heber Gamble, Willard MacLeod, granddaughter Anna, sisters Olive Berry, Iva Shaw, Isabelle Dennis and sister Jennie and brother Charles in infancy. Resting at the Ferguson Funeral Home and Chapel, O’Leary with visiting hours Friday 4 - 7 pm. Funeral Saturday in the Chapel at 1 pm. Interment to follow in the Peoples Cemetery, Mount Royal.
