Passed peacefully away at the Carbonear General Hospital on Tuesday, May 8, 2018, Mary Norris of Victoria, age 87 years. Predeceased by husband: Ambrose; parents: John and Susannah Emberley; brothers: Joseph 'Joe' and William Emberley; sisters: Ida (John) Priddle, Elsie Edwards, and Florence Russell. Left to mourn, two daughters: Brenda (Pat) Penney and Susan Norris, both of Victoria; three grandchildren: Melanie (Keith), Cindy (Brian), and Ambrose; four great-grandchildren: Tyler, Faith, Lauren and Arianna; one brother: George (Ruby) Emberley, Cavendish; two sisters: Leona North, Victoria and Tilly (Bert) Mouland, Ragged Harbour; brothers-in-law: Ralph Edwards Sr., Les Clarke, and Snowden (Barbara) Norris; sisters-in-law: Carol Emberley, Ruth Sutton, and Alma Critch; also a large number of nieces, nephews, and other relatives and friends. Rested at Noel's Funeral Home, Water Street, Carbonear. Lieutenants Dwayne and Susan Goulding conducted the funeral service on Saturday, May 12 from the Salvation Army Citadel, Carbonear.
