Marie Sylvia Cormier died peacefully in her home, in Summerside, on Tuesday, June 5, 2018, at the age of 71. Born in Moncton, N.B., she was the daughter of the late John and Ruby (Mollins) Bell. Marie is survived by her children Duke (Betsy) Cormier, Summerside; Jason Cormier, Ottawa; and Angela Fullarton, Fredericton; her sister and best friend Shirley Delaney; grandchildren Max Cormier, Josh Cormier, Hannah (Jordan) Bigelow, Luca Cormier, Matteo Cormier, Zoe Fullarton, Ava Fullarton and Seth Fullarton; great-grandchildren Mitchell, Cobain and Lola Cormier. She is predeceased by her husband Roderick Cormier; son-in-law Jon Fullarton; and by brother-in-law Lowell Delaney. She graduated from Moncton High School and went on to Oulton Business School and received her Business Diploma in 1964. In 1974 Marie and Roderick started their business of Roderick’s Hair Styling Limited. Resting at the Moase Funeral Home, Summerside, until Saturday, then to the Summerside Baptist Church, for funeral service at 11 a.m. Interment in Peoples Cemetery, Summerside. Visiting hours Friday from 6-8 p.m. Pastor Cory Somers officiating. All are welcome to attend and celebrate Marie’s life.
