PEPPARD, Marjorie Evelyn – 82, Bedford, passed away suddenly, while vacationing in St. Petersburg, Florida, on Friday evening, February 16, 2018. Born in Great Village, she was a daughter of the late Matthew and Louise (Rose) Peppard. Marjorie graduated from Nova Scotia Normal College and Mount Saint Vincent University. She taught school for 36 years in Nova Scotia, Quebec and for DND in Germany and was a member of the first group of teachers hired as Resource Teachers in Halifax. She was an active member in the United Church and was a life-time member of United Church Women. She loved doing crafts of all kinds, especially doll making in fabric and porcelain and loved to travel, especially river cruising in Europe. Marjorie is survived by her sister, Ruth Peppard; brothers, Kenneth (Dianne) Peppard, James (Blanche) Peppard; nieces and nephews, Carla (Vincent) MacNeil, Karen (Jim) Weatherby, Sterling (Paula) Peppard, Jim (Szu) Peppard, Cynthia (Aaron) Gallagher, Stephanie Patriquin, Alan Peppard, Sandra (Dean) Mushanski, Anna Peppard; 14 grand-nieces and nephews; five great grand-nieces and nephews. Along with her parents, she was predeceased by her brother, John (Marie) Peppard; niece, Donna (Tim) Martell. All are invited to attend a graveside service that will be held 2 p.m., Saturday, June 16, 2018, in Mahon Cemetery, 8480 Highway 2, Great Village, Reverend Dan Gunn officiating. Reception will follow at Royal Canadian Legion, Branch 72, Great Village Lornevale Road, Great Village. (In case of rain, the service will be held at the Legion.)
