Mary “Jean” Worth age 99 of the R.K. MacDonald Nursing Home, Antigonish formerly of French River passed away on June 10, 2018 in the R.K. MacDonald Nursing Home. Born in Guysborough she was a daughter of the late Raymond and Ella (Dort) Ryter.
Jean worked as a seamstress in New Glasgow and was a member of St. Georges Anglican Church.
She is survived by her brother Leslie Ryter, Antigonish; daughters Elizabeth McNamara, New Glasgow and Sandra Worth, Trenton and several nieces and nephews.
Predeceased by her husband Charles Worth.
A funeral service will be held at 2:00 pm on Friday, June, 15, 2018 in St. Georges Anglican Church, New Glasgow with Rev. Falen McNulty officiating. Burial will be in the Abercrombie Cemetery. A reception will follow in the church hall. Family flowers only. Donations in her memory may be made to the Heart and Stroke Foundation of Nova Scotia.
