It is with great sadness that we, the family of Cecelia Clark, announce her passing at Cape Breton Regional Hospital An Cala Unit on June 9, 2018 at the age of 84.
Born in Glace Bay, she was the daughter of the late George Andrew and Emma Maude (England)McLean.
She was a former employee of the Royal Bank, and of the family business- Clark Insurance. She loved her many Siamese cats over the years, and her Labrador Retrievers. Her favorite times were camping with the families of the Cape Breton Trailer Club and spending time at the bungalow in Catalone.
She is survived by her three children, Allan (Nancy), Christina Lake, BC, Laurie of Sydney, NS, and Shane (Lori Ann) of Glace Bay. Also, her grandchildren, Blake & Garret Kelford, Angus & Donald Morine, Arielle Fenix, and Landon Clark. Also surviving are brothers, Tom, Phillip,
David and sisters, Pearl and Connie.
Besides her parents, she was predeceased by her husband, Allan R. Clark, and her brothers, George, Joseph and John (Jackie).
The family would like to thank the staff at the Cove Guest Home, the CBRH ER staff, and the EHS paramedics who transported her, for their professional, compassionate care. Special thanks go to the physicians and staff of the An Cala Palliative Care Unit at CBRH for allowing Mom’s
family to “camp out” in Mom’s room, where many stories and laughs were shared until the very end. She was right in the middle of things, which is where she always loved to be.
Thanks go to the friends and family who supported Mom and her family through this difficult time. Special mention is given to Mom’s dear friend, Anne Riley, who became her chosen sister later in life.
