JOLLYMORE, Gregg MacKay
It brings us incredible sadness to announce that Gregg MacKay Jollymore passed away suddenly but peacefully on June 7, 2018 on Brule Point, Nova Scotia - the family farm where Gregg grew up, and a place full of love and happy memories. Gregg will be forever loved and remembered by Charlene, his wife of 38 years, children Ashlee (Paul) and Breann (Erik), granddaughter Madeline, mother Pauline, father Dale, brother Mark, sister in law Michelle, nephew Alexander, sisters Gloria and Cynthia, as well as many extended family members and friends. Gregg was born in Tatamagouche, Nova Scotia on February 23, 1959 and spent a tremendously happy childhood with his loving family on the farm in Brule Point. He moved to Alberta in 1977 and began a 40-year career in the oil industry, while building a wonderful family life with Charlene. Gregg was exceptionally dedicated to his career, which was full of achievement, allowing him to travel the world, satisfying his far-ranging curiosities and providing every advantage for his family, who were always his first priority. Charlene, Breann and Ashlee always knew of his endless pride in his family, and of his immense love and devotion to them. Gregg enjoyed his recent retirement by travelling, staying active and spending time with friends. Although his time came far too soon, he passed with a sense that his world was beginning anew, flush with opportunity and possibility. His family and friends cannot express how much Gregg will be missed, nor how much he was loved in life. He will always be remembered for his incredible (often mischievous) sense of humor, his huge laugh and his loving heart. A Celebration of Life will take place in Gregg's honor on August 30th, 2018 at 2 pm in the Hall of Vision at the Cochrane Ranchehouse (101 Ranchehouse Road, Cochrane, AB).
