Surrounded by her loving family Ma went home to be with Da today from the An Cala Unit at the Cape Breton Regional Hospital.
Born in Port Morien, June was the daughter of the late Harvey and Barbara (Clements) Butts.
Ma was well known for her baking abilities which she freely shared with family and friends. Nothing compared to her home-made bread and cinnamon rolls.
She lived a simple life and got much enjoyment from her cigarettes, word find puzzles and Judge Judy.
Surviving are her children, Carol (Kenny), Barbara (Darcy), Earl (Linda), Blaine and Derrick (Brenda); brothers, Bink (Annie), Charlie (Barbara) and Eric (Donna);
grandchildren, Nicole, Danny, Kurt(Candice), Blaine(Cait), Tyler, Jared and Dana;
step grandchildren, Dustin, Erica and Parker; great-grandchildren, Leylah, Cooper, Jack, Sadie, Veida and her special buddy, Braydon.
Besides her parents, she was predeceased by her husband, Earl and brother, Joe.
At this time the family would like to send a special Thank You to Dr. Rachael Abel, Dr. Anne F. D’intino, Dr. George Burns and the staff of the An Cala Unit for the kindness and compassion shown to Ma and her family.
At June’s request cremation has taken place. Burial service at a later date.
