BROWN (Muise), Loretta Mary - passed away on Thursday May 28, 2018 at The Meadows Home for Special Care, Yarmouth, NS at the age of 103. Born May 21, 1915 in Ste-Anne du Ruisseau, Yarmouth Co., to Helen Muise and was loved and raised by step-father Matteur LeBlanc. Loretta dearly loved her grandchildren, she enjoyed travelling, gardening, socializing, music and was an active member of her church throughout her life. For the past 4 years the staff at Primrose House of The Meadows were like an extended family to her. She was preceded in death by her husband William G. Brown, an infant daughter, Florence, a step-son Robert Brown, son-in-law Percy McGrath, brothers, Robert (Bob) LeBlanc, Joseph LeBlanc and Thomas LeBlanc, and her sister Frances Clements, sister-in-law Doris LeBlanc, brothers-in-law, George Clements and Edward Crowell. She is lovingly remembered by sons, Alan (Dora) Brown of Ste-Anne du Ruisseau, and William (Bill) J. Brown of Belleville; daughters, Betty McGrath, Belleville, Joanne (Gérald) Boudreau, L’île à Morris, Joyce (Russell) Makarowski, Edmonton, Gloria (Mario Voyer) Brown, Montreal, Catherine (Bernard) Brown-Roy, Ottawa and Patricia (Perry) Brown-Amirault, Sluice Point, 14 grandchildren, 19 great grandchildren, 1 great great grandchild. She is also survived by her brother Peter LeBlanc, sisters, Theresa (Howard) Frazier, Madeleine Baker, and Margaret Crowell.
Visitation will be held at Huskilson's Funeral Home, Yarmouth on Sunday, July 22, 2018 from 2-4 pm and 7-9 pm (prayer service at 8pm.) Funeral service will take place Monday, July 23, 2018 at 11:00 am at Ste-Anne du Ruisseau Church. Burial will take place in the church cemetery. The family wishes to thank all the staff at The Meadows and especially the wonderful people working at Brook House for our mother’s kind and loving care.
