Rowena Joyce (Pretty) Webster

It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Rowena Joyce Webster of Sydney on Friday, July 13, 2018 at the QEII Health Sciences Center in Halifax, peacefully surrounded by her loving family. Born in Sydney, Joyce was the daughter of the late Percy and Florence (Weber) Pretty.
She was married to Dawson Lough, her first husband of 36 years.
Over the years, Joyce was employed with the Dominion Coal Company and also Health and Welfare Canada.
Joyce is survived by her sons, Bruce Lough (Janet) of Petawawa, ON and David Lough (Teresa) of Silverdale, WA; brothers, Harold, Walter and Gary ‘Monk’ Pretty, and four grandchildren, Tyler, Shawna-Mae, Ashley and Mathew.
Visitation to take place at Sydney Memorial Chapel, on Tuesday, July 17, 2018 from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. Funeral service will be held at Sydney Memorial Chapel on Wednesday, July 18, 2018 at 2 p.m., with Rev. Glen Kent officiating. Interment will follow at Hardwood Hill Cemetery.
Memorials may be made to the Diabetes Society or a charity of choice.
