Passed peacefully away in the presence of her loving family at St. Clare's Mercy Hospital on Thursday, July 19, 2018, Mary "Nanny" White (nee Breen), of St. Mary's, aged 90. Predeceased by her loving husband William, two special sons Aiden and Lawrence, parents Joseph & Catherine "Mrs. Kit" Breen, sister Jose (Eddie) Konieczny; brothers: Jimmy, Sam, Eugene, Aiden, Edward; sons-in-law: Michael Bonia, John Bowen, Ignatius Bowen, daughter-in-law Paula White, sister-in-law Linda Smith and brother-in-law George Bradley. Leaving to mourn with fond and loving memories son Gary (Cecelia); daughters: Teresa, Irene, Eileen, Patricia (Gary) Gibbons, 6 grandchildren, 12 great-grandchildren; brothers: Pat, Steve, Tom (Mary), Michael (Barbara), Joey (Agnes), Bill (Veronica) and Aiden (Brenda), sisters Elizabeth (Bob) Green and Gert Bradley; sisters-in-law: Margie Breen, Irene Breen, Marg Breen and many nieces, nephews, relatives and friends, including special friend Betty Bowen, friends and caregivers at Lewis' Personal Care Home, Riverhead and Brian White whom she treated like her own son. A very special thank you is extended to her homecare workers Colleen and Darlene, Carolann and Staff at Lewis' and staff at 4 West, St. Clare's for the loving care and support you provided to Mom. Resting at Gibbons' Funeral Home, St. Mary's, on Saturday, July 21, from 2- 4pm (FAMILY ONLY); 7 - 9pm and Sunday, July 22, 2 - 4pm; 7 - 9pm (No visitation on Monday). Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Monday, July 23, at 10am, at Our Lady of the Assumption Church, St. Mary's. Burial to follow. Flowers gratefully accepted.
