Basil Gregory Corbett
It is with deep sadness that we announce the passing of Basil Gregory Corbett, on May 11, 2018, in Fort Lauderdale, Florida. Born in Dominion, he was the son of Oppie (Campbell) Corbett and the late Gregory Omar Corbett. Basil’s spirit, love for family and friends, and his generous nature will always be remembered. He always found a funny side of every story.
He will be dearly missed by his mother, Oppie; brothers, Douglas, (Debbie), Kevin (Angela); beautiful sisters, Cathy and Cheryl (Scott) Whelan, as well as his nieces, nephews, cousins and many close friends.
Besides his father, he was predeceased by his nephew Sheldon Douglas Corbett. Burial has taken place in St. Joseph’s Cemetery in West Roxbury, Mass. A celebration of life for Basil will take place on Monday, July 30, 2018, at 11 a.m. at Immaculate Conception Church, Bridgeport, with a reception to follow in the church hall.
