It is with broken hearts that we, the family, announce the passing of our father, grandfather and brother, Angus MacKinnon Jr. at the Northside General Hospital on Friday July 27, 2018, with his loving family by his side. Born in Sydney Mines, on November 14, 1950, he was the son of the late Angus Sr. and Florence (Halley) MacKinnon
He was predeceased by his loving wife and soul mate of over 40 years, Rhea (Woodfine) MacKinnon
He is survived by his three children, Jimmy (Mary, Emma, Jacob) of Sydney, Shaun (Krystal) of Sydney Mines and Kevin (Brittany) of Florence; his two sisters, Karen (Joe) and Liz (Russ); brother, Patty (Linda) and his four grandchildren, Brayden, Isaac, Lincoln and Oliver. He is also survived by a special niece, Ann Marie Penny; brother-in-law, George Woodfine, and friends, Dave Martin and Cheryl Rendell.
Angus was a member of the Sydney Mines Pensioners club and mixed dart league. He was also a proud executive member of the Sydney Mines and District Little League, starting out as an umpire, coach and then equipment manager for the past 30 years. When not at the field, you could find him fishing and hunting. Angus will be truly missed by family, friends and the community.
Cremation has taken place, there will be no visitation or Funeral service.
