Beloved father, teacher, sports-lover and proud Nova Scotian, Dennis Francis Doyle of Halifax passed away peacefully Aug. 3, 2018 at Arborstone Enhanced Care Facility. He was comfortable and with his devoted and loving son, Sean.
Dennis, born Sept. 13, 1943, was a well-known fixture in Halifax, teaching generations of students for over 30 years with the Halifax School Board. He was a dedicated teacher and offered up a lot of his freetime to coach a variety of teams at St. Pat’s High School and Fairview Jr. High school. He was also famous for his stories. Sharing his experiences from his favourite place, Cape Breton, and his hometown of Sydney, where he graduated from Sydney Academy and then received a Bachelor of Education in 1969 from St. Francis Xavier University.
He is survived by daughter, Alicia (Vancouver); son, Sean (Haliax); ex-wife, Gen; brothers, Terry (Edmonton), Timothy (Halifax).
Celebration of Life to be held Sun. Sept. 9th at The Midtown Tavern 2-5 p.m.
