It is with broken hearts that we share the sudden passing of our beloved husband, father, grandfather and brother, James Kimberly Carter King, age 66, on Monday, August 20, 2018.
Born in North Sydney on September 30, 1951, Kim was the son of the late Joseph and Mary (Jessome) King.
Kim was kind, compassionate, loving, and full of fun. He brought joy to everyone he knew. Kim worked at Devco for 20 years. He was an avid fisherman, hunter, and had a passion for cars, and working on cars, jeeps and trucks in the garage with his children and grandchildren. Kim loved to travel; he especially enjoyed a recent trip to Dominican Republic with his pride and joy, his family.
Kim is survived by his loving wife of 46 years, Louise (Dawe); his daughter, Elsie (Terry Penney), and his son, Matthew (Corinne Cann), all of Long Island. Kim was one of the proudest Poppy’s in the world to his grandchildren, Megan, Hannah, Carter, and Jamison.
He is also survived by his brothers, Joseph (Dorothy), Sydney Mines, Daniel (Maria), Long Island; his sister, Cindy (Norman MacNeil), Ancaster, ON; sisters-in-law, Patricia (Terry Jessome), Little Pond, and Anne (John Moore), Vineland, ON. Kim is also survived by many nieces, nephews and cousins who loved him dearly, and his best friend, Loddy Osmond.
Besides his parents, Kim was predeceased by an infant brother, Kevin.
As per Kim’s wishes there will be no visitation or service.
