Age 81, passed peacefully away surrounded by her loving family at Private Josiah Squibb Memorial Pavilion, Carbonear on August 27, 2018. Predeceased by parents: Thomas George and Ethel Deering; brother Herb Deering; sister Christine Mercer; brothers-in-law: Irving Snow and Joseph Mercer and infant granddaughter Nicole Marie Torrance. Leaving to mourn: son Calvin (Joan) Tuttle; daughters: Ella (Henry) Porter and Phyllis Torrance; six grandchildren: Trevor, Shelley (Jody), Calvin (Kuki), Andrew, Candace and Caitlin; six great-grandchildren: Dominic, Elizabeth, Ella, Maiita, Jasmine and Lily; brother Wallace (Roslind) Deering and sister Jane Snow; as well as a large circle of relatives and friends. The Funeral Service will be held on Friday, August 31st, 2018 at 2 pm from Slade's Funeral Home, L.T. Stick Drive, Bay Roberts with interment to follow at the Christian Cemetery, Shearstown. The family will be receiving relatives and friends at Slade’s Funeral Home, Bay Roberts on Wednesday from 2-9 P.M., Thursday from 10:30 A.M.- 9 P.M. and Friday from 10:30 A.M. - 12 Noon.
