It is with great sadness and heavy hearts that we announce the sudden passing of a father, brother, and uncle Montford Samuel Knee at his residence in Corner Brook, NL on Monday, August 27th, 2018 at the age of 73 years. Born in Badgers Quay, NL, Montford was the son of the late Alex and Grace Knee (nee Styles). He was also predeceased by his son Sheldon Knee; brothers Regional Smith, Ross Knee, Alexander Knee, and many aunts, uncles and in-laws. He leaves to mourn with fond and loving memories his daughter Nancy (Bernard) Samms of Corner Brook, NL; son Christopher Knee (Linda Tavaers) of Cambridge, ON; grandchildren Colby Knee, Sarah Knee, Jaxon Knee; sister Ann (Albert) Cousins; sister-in-law Theresa Knee both of Port aux Basques, NL; nieces and nephews Ruthanne (Paul) Dasilva of Innisfil, ON, Carl (Kelly) Knee of Oshawa, ON, Patricia Cousins (Brent Martin) of Doyles, NL, and Jamie (Kyrstal) Cousins of Margaree, NL; aunt Hannah Currie of Port aux Basques, NL; uncle James (Matha) Styles of Rose Blanche, NL; special friends George Samms Hayman and Annie Mae of Codroy Valley, NL plus a large circle of cousins and friends. In keeping with Montford's wishes, cremation has taken place. Visitation was held on Friday, August 31st, 2018 from 12 – 2 pm at East Haven Funeral Home Inc. in Port aux Basques, NL from where the memorial service was held at 2 pm officiated by The Rev. Jeffrey Petten with interment of ashes followed at Hillside Haven Cemetery, Isle aux Morts Road, NL. In lieu of flowers donations in Montford's memory can be made to a charity of one's choice.
