CONNORS, BERTHA HAZEL - Bertha Hazel Connors died at the DECH, Tuesday, May 24, one day short of her 89th birthday. Born in Millerton, NB she was the daughter of the late Charles and Bertha (Barron) Hutchison. Hazel was a proud graduate of the Saint John General Hospital School of Nursing. She married the late William Connors in 1947. They lived and farmed the Walsh family property in Pineville, NB. In later years they retired to Millerton. She was predeceased by her parents, husband and sister, Margaret Dunham. Hazel was a devoted daughter, wife, mother and grandmother. She enjoyed knitting and crocheting and was a church organist for many years. She is survived by her daughters, Heather Connors-Dunphy (Vic Dunphy) and Trinda Connors-Furlong (John Furlong), a grandson, Joshua Connors (Natalie Boyce), a great granddaughter, Audrina Connors, and several nieces and nephews. The family thanks the staff of DECH 4SE and care-giver, Margaret McLaughlin for many kindnesses.
Arrangements are entrusted to Northumberland Funeral Home, Miramichi, NB. There will be a Memorial Service at St. Peter’s Anglican Church, Millerton at 2pm, Friday, May 27.
