Georgina Rayona “Raye” Schulli

Raye Schulli, daughter of the late Raymond and Georgie Cameron (Gillis) Passed away peacefully after a long illness with diabetes on September 26, 2018. Raye was part of the seventh generation of the Cameron family born in P.E.I. She had an early education at Albany, P.E.I. School and later at Prince of Wales College in Charlottetown. She moved to Vancouver in 1952, where she met her husband Dick. They were married at St. Mary’s Anglican Church Vancouver in 1956. In 1961 they moved to Toronto with their sons Rick and David. They returned to Vancouver in 1963 and have lived in Calgary since 1966. Raye was an active member of Christ Church, Elbow Park. She served on the Altar Guild for 36 years and delivered Meals on Wheels for over 23 years. Raye was an avid reader and enjoyed traveling to P.E.I. in the summer to visit family and friends or vacationing at the family condo in West Vancouver. Prior to her long period of illness, she was a member of the Glencoe Club and the Calgary Golf and Country Club. She is survived by her loving husband Dick; son David (Pauline Turnbull); grandchildren Peter and Leah; and by many nieces, nephews, and cousins. Raye was predeceased by her brothers Cleyon Cameron in 2016, Ronald Cameron in 1997; and her son Rick in 2011. Those wishing to pay their respects may do so at McINNIS & HOLLOWAY (Park Memorial, 5008 Elbow Drive S.W., Calgary, AB) on Friday October 5, 2018 from 6 p.m. to 7:30 p.m. Funeral Services will be held at Christ Church Elbow Park (3602 – 8th Street S.W., Calgary, AB) on Saturday October 6, 2018 at 11 a.m. Reception to follow in the Crump Room. Graveside Service to follow at Queen’s Park Cemetery. Raye’s family gives sincere thanks to and appreciation to the staff of nurses and patient assistants at Carewest Garrison Green for the excellent care and attention that she received during the last days of her life.
