It is with heavy hearts we, the family of Bertha MacFarlane, 83, announce her peaceful passing on Oct.1st at the Cape Breton Regional Hospital in Sydney.
She was the daughter of Cecil and Moretta Kennedy of Big Pond.
Bertha is survived by her son, Stephen Wallace; daughters, Wanda and Cassie MacFarlane; grandchildren, Carlos (Dale), Jennifer (John), Justin and Alisa; great-grandchildren, Autumn and Bryden.
Bertha is also survived by her brothers, Russell, Sydney, Winston, Dave and Wayne; sisters, Gwen, Phoebe, Shirley, Moretta and Hilda.
Bertha was predeceased by her husband, Allie MacFarlane; brother, Robert; sisters, Betty and Marg.
As per her wishes there will be no visitation or funeral.
Donations may be made to the charity of one’s choice.
