Passed peacefully away at his home on Saturday, October 6, 2018, Gilbert Deering, in his 84th year. Predeceased by his loving wife Pauline (nee Frampton); his parents Arthur and Elizabeth (nee Wareham) Deering; as well as numerous brothers and sisters. Leaving to mourn, his dear children: Cordell (Tina), Karen (Craig Shaw), Kathy (Allan Legrow) and Keith (Cathy); his adoring grandchildren: David (Janelle), Keith (Stephanie), Jessica (Gary), Genelle (Gerard), George (Destiney), Rebecca (Mike), Maggie and Keegan; great-grandchildren: Carter and Brianna; sisters: Elsie Reid and Florence Morgan; special brother-in-law Charlie Frampton; special friends Ron and Cindy Borden; his little buddies Nathanial and Mason LeDrew; as well as many nieces, nephews, extended family and friends. Visitation to take place at Barrett’s Funeral Home, 73 Commonwealth Avenue, Mount Pearl, on Saturday, October 13, 2018 from 10:30 am - 12:30 pm. A celebration of Gilbert’s life will follow, in Barrett’s Funeral Chapel at 1 pm, Saturday, October 13, 2018.
