It is with great sadness and heavy hearts that we, the family of Wanda Marie Royal-Whitty, age 47, announce her passing on Thursday, October 4, 2018 at the Cape Breton Regional Hospital.
Born in Ingonish Beach on May 20, 1971, Wanda was the daughter of the late Leona Royal and raised by her grandparents, the late Thomas and Rachel Whitty.
In her short life, Wanda was a great friend to many. She enjoyed watching her favorite TV shows Forensic Files and Animal Rescue. She loved driving her ATV but most of all she loved spending time with her niece, Kelsey and grandniece, Alexis (her Boogalou). Wanda will be greatly missed by many.
She is survived by her two nieces, Kelsey (Patrick), and Mikayla; her grandniece, Alexis (Boogalou), her pride and joy, and her many cousins. Also surviving is her very best friend/better half, Ron Fraser.
Wanda was predeceased by her grandparents, Rachel and Thomas Whitty; her mother, Leona and brother, Jamie Royal.
A private family service and special gathering of love will be held and burial at a later date in Ingonish.
