Carlene Spears - It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of our wonderful mother, grandmother, and great-grand mother Carlene Viola (Miller) Spears on October 19th, 2018 at the Aberdeen Hospital with her loving family by her side.

Born April 28th, 1935 in Springhill to the late Carl and June Miller. Carlene married the love of her life, Donald Courtly Robert Spears in 1951.

They shared their love and had 3 children, the late Sandra Adelle Spears; Bruce (Jacqueline) Spears, Foxbrook; Donna (Bob) Thomas, Hantsport. Carlene held much love for their children. Carlene had 6 grandchildren who were the apples of her eyes. Tammy Spears, Halifax; Carla (Kyle) Quigley Riverton; Richard Thomas (Shelby) Springhill; Victoria Thomas, Halifax; Kimberly Thomas, Kentville; Amanda Thomas, Kentville; and one great grandchild, Merrick.

Carlene worked in the office at Sears for over 25 years until her retirement. Carlene was predeceased by her husband and daughter as well as her brothers Alan and Buddy.

Her family will receive visitors on Tuesday from 2-4 and 7-9 pm at Eagles Funeral Home, Westville. Her funeral service will be held 2 o'clock Wednesday from Eagles Funeral Chapel, Westville with Rev. Charles MacPherson officiating. Interment will be in Heatherdale Memorial Gardens. www.eaglesfuneralhome.ca
