Ida passed away peacefully after a courageous battle with cancer in her 86th year on October 21, 2018 in Richmond, BC. She will be remembered as kind and warm-hearted. Ida welcomed many friends and relatives into her home and helped out many people during her lifetime. Family was important to Ida, and she showered her children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren with love and affection. She was born in North Rustico, PEI at Doyles Cove. She started her career as a teacher and later became a realtor. She is survived by her husband Vincent, sons Blair and David (Karen), daughter Lorraine (Bill), grandchildren Leslie (Grant), Julie, Cameron, Nick and Holly, great-grandchildren Gatlin and Ingrid, brother Andy (Gavan), sisters Marion and Elizabeth, and many other relatives in PEI and Ontario. She was predeceased by siblings Margaret, Maureen, Tom and Elsie. A celebration of life will be held at a later date in PEI. In lieu of flowers, a donation to the BC Kidney Foundation, where Ida volunteered for over 40 years, would be appreciated.
