Passed peacefully away in the presence of his loving family at the Health Science Center on Wednesday, October 31, 2018, Jerome Flaherty of Avondale in his 74th year. Predeceased by his parents: Joseph & Mary, brothers: Joseph, Edward & Cletus, mother & father in-law Cyril & Beth Moore, sisters-in-law: Beverly Lewis & Mary (Sis) Flaherty & nephew Ricky Lewis. Left with fond and loving memories are his wife Brenda of 56 years, daughter Corina (Frank) & son Jerry (Lynn), grandchildren: Ryan, Cody & Connor, sisters: Lena Warren (Art), Marie Bimm (Ken) & Carol (Gary), brothers: Hilary (Joan), George ( Irene), Father Clem, & Ray (Ann), aunts: Clara Ryan, Margaret Fewer & Olie Kennedy, numerous nieces, nephews, brothers & sisters-in-law of the Moore family & a large circle of family & friends especially the brothers & sisters of Local 203 Boiler Makers of which Jerome was a proud member for 44 years. He was a kind & gentle man who always had a smile. He will be missed by everyone who loved him. Resting at Dunphy’s Funeral Home, Holyrood. Visitation will take place on Friday, November 2, 2018 from 1 pm - 9 pm. Funeral will take place at 10:30 am on Saturday, November 3, 2018 with Mass of Christian Burial from Assumption Church, Avondale. Cremation to follow with Inurnment at a later date.
