On November 2, 2018, peacefully, with family by his side, at the Provincial Palliative Care Centre at the age of 80. Born July 19, 1938, George McCoubrey Brookins. Beloved husband of Marie (MacDonald); dear father of Gordon (Maureen), Peter (deceased) Ruthann, George H. (Rachel), chosen daughter, Alicia Madore. Loving “Pop” to Lindsey, George Mac, Molly, Sarah, Rachel, Gordon (deceased), Karen, Jillian, Ryan and great grandchildren Mia, Anne Marie, Zoey. Special brother of Aubrey (deceased), Ella Roberts (Rev. Bruce deceased) and Elizabeth Waugh (Wilfred deceased). Also survived by numerous nieces and nephews. Lovingly remembered by Shelley MacKenzie, Jane (Aitken) Brookins. Predeceased by his parents George H. and Nellie (McCoubrey) Brookins. He will be greatly missed by his furry companions Ginger, Chivas and Max.
