Peacefully at the Provincial Palliative Care Centre, on Friday, November 2, 2018, the death occurred of Vera Young (nee Duncan), of Stratford, age 96 years. Loving mother of Melanie Johnston (Roger) and Rob Duncan (deceased) (Brenda). Cherished grandmother of Julie Johnston, Jamie Johnston and Nicole Duncan. Nan-nan to 6 great-grandchildren. Sister-in-law of Doreen Duncan. Predeceased by her parents - Robert and Mabel Duncan; brothers and sisters - Edna Seaman (Arthur), Sheldon Duncan (Greta), Lona Storey, Rita Rogers (Stewart), Laura Fox (Robert) and Clarence Duncan. Also predeceased by her grandson - Michael and great-grandson - Ryan. Resting at Hillsboro Funeral Home, 2 Hollis Ave., Stratford for visitation Sunday, November 4, 2018 from 2-5 p.m. A private family funeral service will be held at Stratford Chapel, Hillsboro Funeral Home. Interment will follow at People's Cemetery. As an expression of sympathy, memorial donations to the Heart and Stroke Foundation would be appreciated.
