Isabel Hardy of Montrose passed away peacefully at the Western Hospital, Alberton on Friday, November 9, 2018, aged 92 years, beloved wife of the late Raymond W. Hardy. Born at Brooklyn, PEI, May 31, 1926, she was the daughter of the late Frederick and Alice Maude (nee Johnston) Wells. Loving mother of Ivan (Theresa) Hardy of Montrose, the late Mary (George Quan) Hardy of Toronto, Walter Hardy of Toronto, Laura (John) MacLean of Houston, Texas, Allison (Natalie Salter) Hardy of Houston, Texas. Cherished grandmother to Crystal (Gary Norwood) and Jason (Chelsey Pollon) Hardy; Nicholas and Juliana Quan; and James, Raymond, Rosemary, and David MacLean. Great-grandmother to Jazlyn, Lanna and Tenley. Predeceased by siblings Arthur, Walter, Johnston, Edith (Palmer) and Martha (Smallman). She is survived by a sister-in-law, Shirley Wells of Saskatchewan and by her many nieces, nephews and friends. Resting at the Rooney Funeral Home and Chapel, Alberton. Visiting hours Friday, November 16th, 6-8 pm. Funeral service Saturday November 17th at the E. Gerald Rooney Memorial Chapel at 2:00 pm, Rev. Lynn McKinnon officiating. Interment in the Montrose United Church Cemetery.
