It is with great sadness that the family of the late Leo Joseph Maddox announce his passing on Saturday, November 17, 2018 at Western Memorial Regional Hospital in Corner Brook at the age of 91 years. He leaves to mourn with fond and loving memories his children: Carolyn, Leo Jr., Marion, Patricia (Sean) Spontaneo, and Cindy (Tony) Rumboldt; grandchildren: Cheryl (Randy) Welsh, Crystal, Sean Jr., Ashley (Darcy), Amanda (Kenny); great-granddaughter Britney, and special caregivers Jackie Grant and granddaughter Cheryl Welsh; as well as a large circle of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. He was predeceased by his parents John and Johanna Maddox, siblings Madeline, Alice, Johnnie, Marg and Ann. Friends may visit Fillatre’s Funeral Home, 4 St. Mark’s Avenue on Monday 7-9 p.m. and Tuesday 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. The Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Wednesday, November 21st at 10:30 a.m. from All Hallows Parish, Humber Road with Father Andrew White officiating. Interment to follow at Mount Patricia Cemetery. As expressions of sympathy, flowers graciously accepted or donations may be made to the Alzheimer’s Society or Western Memorial Regional Hospital Palliative Care Unit.
