It is with great sadness that the family of the late Bruce Starkes announce his passing at the Western Memorial Regional Hospital on Saturday, Nov. 17, 2018 at the age of 69. Bruce was an amazing husband, father and friend. He was a very skilled and creative man who could do anything he put his mind to. His greatest passions in life were carpentry, his motorcycle, and most of all, his family. He leaves to mourn with fond and loving memories, his beloved wife Janice (Caines) Starkes of 29 years; his children: Jeremy Starkes, Allison Starkes (Paul Tucker), Matthew Starkes, Danielle Starkes (Chris Bennett); his brother Len Starkes, his sisters-in-law: Juanita (Caines) White and Sheila (Caines) Matthews (Dan); his brothers-in-law: Bill Caines (Sandy), Claude Caines (Judy), Dennis Caines (Edmond) Rod Caines (Genevieve). Bruce was predeceased by his parents: Pearce and Neta (Blackwood) Starkes. Cremation has taken place. Visitation for family and friends will take place at Country Haven Funeral Home, 167 Country Road on Wednesday, Nov. 21, 2018 from the hours of 2-4 and 7-9 pm. The funeral service will take place at the Country Haven Chapel on Thursday, Nov. 22, 2018 at 11 am with Rev. Jocelyn Cook officiating. Interment to take place at a later date.
