Age 71, Truro, passed away Sunday, November 18, 2018 in the Mira Long Term Care Centre, Truro. Born in Toronto, ON, he was a son of the late Donald and Phyllis (Tinney) McMullen. Jim was a roofer having worked for many years with Fosco Roofing, Truro. He was the most avid hunter and fisherman in the world according to him. Jim also loved to play his guitar and sing. He is survived by his wife the former B. Jill MacKay; daughters, Coreena Manderson (Trevor), Leduc, AB, Michelle (John Norris), New Glasgow; grandchildren, Cole, Kayla, Kelsey; brothers Tommy (Dauphine), Valley, Tyrone, Bass River, Dick (Brenda), Londonderry; sister, Marlene Rushton, Londonderry; several nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by a brother Lent. Arrangements are under the direction of Mattatall~Varner Funeral Home, 55 Young Street, Truro. A graveside service will take place in the spring in Hillcrest Cemetery, Londonderry. Donations in memory may be made to the Colchester SPCA or to the Lung Association of Nova Scotia.
