Robert Clayton Mugford
It is with saddened hearts that we the family announce the passing of Robert “Bob” Mugford on Thursday, November 22, 2018, at the Cape Breton Regional Hospital, Sydney. Born in Glace Bay, he was the son of late Robert and Edna (Skinner) Mugford. Bob was a kind and gentleman, who enjoyed spending time with his family and friends, gardening, cooking and fishing. He was a “Bob of all trades.” Bob is survived by his wife of 50 years, Linda (Earle); his children, John (Cheryl) Mugford, Sydney, Gina (Dwayne) Lynk, Glace Bay; three grandchildren, Jacqueline, April and Emma; one great-granddaughter, Zoey. He is also survived by his brother, Russell Mugford, Glace Bay; sisters, Marilyn (Terry) Harford, Bernice Mugford, both of Ontario; aunt, Carmie (Hermie) Marchand as well as several nieces and nephews.
Besides his parents, he was predeceased by his sister, Marie.
Donations in Bob’s memory may be made to the Palliative Care Unit or the Feral Cat Society. The family would like to thank Dr. Trevor Guy and the doctors and nurses of the Cape Breton Regional Hospital, Palliative Care Unit, An Cala, 4A and 4B for all their care, compassion and support given to our family. Thank you to his brother, Russell for being there. Cremation has taken place. A memorial service will be announced at a later date.
