Hillside - John Carl Hoskins, age 92, of the Valley View Villa, formerly of Hillside, Pictou County, passed away Saturday, December 1, 2018, in the Villa. Born in Hillside, he was a son of the late John and Effie (Reid) Hoskins. He was a retired Checker at Hawker Siddeley. He was a member of the First United Church, Trenton. He is survived by an uncle, John (Jean) Reid, New Glasgow; several cousins. Besides his parents, he was predeceased by his stepmother, Ada (Reid) Hoskins. Visitation 1-2 pm Thursday, in the R.H. Porter Funeral Home, 73 High Street, Trenton, followed by funeral service at 2 pm, with Rev. Wade Reppert officiating. Burial will be in Hillside Cemetery.
