It is with heavy hearts that we, the family, announce the passing of Rosely Hennessey on Sunday, December 2, 2018 at the Glace Bay Healthcare Complex, Glace Bay, with her family by her side.
Born in North Bay, Ontario, she was the daughter of the late Cletus and Marie (MacIntyre) Ross.
She was employed at Sobey’s as a cashier for the past ten years where she was loved by her co-workers and customers. Rosely enjoyed spending time with her pride and joy and only grandson, Malcolm and going to Bingo with her friends and playing radio Bingo with her neighbour.
Rosely is survived by her sons, Blair (Holly) and John (Danielle); her baby boy, her grandson, Malcolm Hennessey; brothers, Billy Ross and Johnny (Kathy) Ross; sisters, Camilla Ross, Peggy Ross and Sharon Szucsigan. She is also survived by her “bestie,” Marian McInnis and the best neighbours, Linda and Tony Eagles.
Besides her parents, she was predeceased by her husband, Wayne Hennessey.
The family would like to thank Dr. B.J. O’Brien, Palliative Care doctors, nurses and VON for their devoted care.
Cremation has taken place. Visitation will be held Friday, December 7, 2018 from 10- 11 a.m. followed by a memorial service at 11 a.m. with Fr. Patrick O’Neil presiding at T.J. Tracey Cremation and Burial Specialists, 370 Reserve St., Glace Bay, NS (902-849-4199) with a reception to follow.
